Weddings
Anyone living in the Parish can be married at St. Wilfrids. For those who have been divorced a special service has been produced. We can normally provide bells and choir if they are required.
For further information about weddings please contact the church (0116 279 2294).
BaptismsThese normally take place at our Family Services on the first Sunday of the month. Baptisms are arranged by contacting the church who will then arrange for somebody to come and visit you. At that visit a date for the Baptism will be set. Please give as much warning as possible.
Welcome Meals
At St. Wilfrid's we want to make newcomers welcome, so we feed them! We have regular welcome meals for anyone who has recently joined or is looking to join our regular congregation. It's an opportunity for you to meet leaders and other members of the church, ask any questions and eat some great food. If you would like further information or to book a place at one of these meals, please contact one of the wardens.
Electoral RollIf you attend St. Wilfrid's regularly then you may like to sign our electronic electoral register.
Electoral Rolls should provide a true indication of the real membership and strength of the church both locally and nationally. Putting your name on the roll is a way of saying "I belong"; it is an act of commitment to your local church and to the church as a whole. Joining the electoral roll opens up the way for greater involvement in the life of the church, at deanery, diocesan and national levels. You become entitled to vote at the Annual General Meeting (usually in April - look for the announcement of the date in the weekly notices and Parish Magazine). It is an important statement of witness, and a step along the path of discipleship. With your name on the electoral roll the strength of the church can be seen in Kibworth, and across south Leicestershire. The Electoral Roll is completely revised every 6 years. It was last revised in 2007. All names are removed and everybody has to complete a form to be re-enrolled. The Electoral Roll Officer is Dr Kevin Feltham.
Notes on the Electoral Roll
If your 16th birthday falls in the next 12 months, you may complete the form and become eligible to be entered on the roll on your birthday.
If you have been on the electoral roll before and have been prevented from 'habitual attendance' at church during the last 6 months through illness or another essential reason, please tick the box and add to the end of the form 'I would have habitually attended, but was prevented from doing so because....' and add your reason.
Churches in Communion with the Church of England are other Anglican Churches and certain foreign churches. Membership of the electoral roll is open to members in good standing of a Church not in communion with the Church of England which subscribes to a doctrine of the Holy Trinity.
